Rabat – Construction work on the world’s largest seawater desalination plant is well on track. An employee at the National Office of Electricity and Potable Water (ONEE) has released a photo of the construction work on social media.
Located in Morocco’s southern coastal city of Agadir, the Douira seawater desalination station project has a MAD 3 billion budget, and a treatment capacity of around 75 million cubic meters of desalinated water per year.
The plant is expected to produce nearly 275.000 cubic meters of desalinated water daily before reaching its maximum capacity of 450.000 cubic meters per day.via @MoroccoWNews
